As the second-born among six siblings and the eldest daughter in my family, I’ve been immersed in responsibilities from a young age. In my culture, daughters often take on domestic duties, and I began my journey at just nine years old. This early exposure taught me the value of hard work and dedication. Over the years, I have refined my skills in various domestic tasks, including cleaning, cooking, and caring for others. My practical experience encompasses everything from mopping floors and washing dishes to babysitting my younger siblings and managing household chores.
After completing my bachelor’s degree, I took on the important role of caregiver for my late grandmother during her illness. I was responsible for her daily care—administering medications, preparing nutritious meals, ensuring she stayed hydrated, and providing companionship to alleviate her loneliness. This experience deepened my understanding of the importance of empathy and support in caregiving roles.
Reflecting on these experiences, I realize they have fueled my passion for helping others. I am motivated by the spirit of service, eager to contribute positively to the lives of those around me. I understand the significance of a helping hand and the impact it can have on someone’s well-being.
